The Problem:

At the beginning of the academic year, the school loans every student a Chromebook in order to assist homework assignments, take tests and do research. In order to cut costs, and in the spirit of going green, the school wanted to also remove printer services from their campus – all assignments and grading would be handled electronically. The school did not want to invest in a print server. When that didn’t work, printer drivers needed to be installed on every individual device, which then constantly needed to be updated. Before Copy R got involved, this was an administrative and IT nightmare.

The Solution:

We placed multiple Ricoh MP C4503’s at the school, which combines high-quality full color output along with the ability to handle complex jobs with enhanced finishing capabilities. It was ideal for this fast-paced school with a heavy workload. Along with these Ricoh MP C4503’s we added the Ricoh App for Google Cloud Printing. This new App for Google Cloud Print Web-printing services enables the students and teachers to print from tablets without the need for expensive and time-consuming print servers and drivers. These upgrades enabled the school to spend less time worrying about IT connectivity issues and overhead and gave the teachers more time to focus on education. Copy R was able to reduce their helpdesk calls from 155 calls per month to 25 per month. This upgrade also gave the school’s IT department an additional 2 hours every day to work on other pressing issues.

The Aquatics Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization which opened in 1990, is a world-class aquatics facility offering year round aquatic and fitness programs to over 350,000 children, families and seniors.

The Problem:

As a nonprofit, budgets are always tight. As a way of cutting costs, the Aquatics Center wanted to bring color print production in house so they could print their marketing and community fliers at their offices. They needed a fast, powerful color copier that would print thousands of color fliers and announcements at one time for all of their advertising and fundraising needs.

The Solution:

Since this organization is a nonprofit, we were able to offer this client a special rate on their equipment by utilizing the U.S. Communities Government Purchasing Alliance with Ricoh. This program reduces the cost of goods and services by aggregating the purchasing power of public agencies nationwide. The Aquatics Center was able to receive a heavily discounted, brand Ricoh color copier MP C5500 to help them with the fundraising and marketing needs. Over the course of 3 years, the organization’s color printing improved in quality while also lowering their expenses by more than 35% in the first year alone. This solution also allowed them to bring color printing in house and on demand.

The Problem:

A family owned fulfillment center came to us with a problem: labels. Namely, that a high volume of their perforated labels were repeatedly getting stuck to the drums of their in-house equipment before being affixed to the appropriate package. This company needed multiple machines that could handle over one million unique shipping labels per month with next to zero equipment error. In addition to the labels, they requested an easy way to track their printing usage on a daily basis.

The Solution:

We were able to install multiple Ricoh Pro 1356Ex’s to handle their label printing as well as their other printing needs (work orders, packing slips, instructions, etc.). The Pro series are great machines that offer speed, brains and muscle. This production series has the capabilities to handle multiple media and provide excellent finishing capabilities. Copy R installed F/M Audit software which reads their meters daily. The customer was always aware of how much they were printing and how much time they had before ordering more toner. It was a big convenience for the customer to monitor their printing habits on a daily basis.
